I’m a Business Director with over 15 years’ experience in work-winning recruitment. I manage the London and South region, recruiting Bid Managers, Bid Writers, Bid Coordinators, and Business Development Managers and Coordinators, as well as Graphic and Bid Designers.

I work with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors, along with specialist subcontractors, supporting them in building high-performing teams. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive knowledge of the sector and developed many loyal, long-standing relationships with both clients and candidates.

My focus is on delivering a tailored, consultative service that helps organisations secure the best talent to drive their success in competitive markets.

How has your career at MRG progressed?

I began my career at MRG/Bid Recruitment as a resource supporting the construction desk. I then found a niche in bids and proposals and have since developed the desk with a team of six across the UK.

What's the emerging trend in your sector specialism and how are you responding to this?

Social value and its growing importance within many businesses across the built environment. The integration of social value into construction is about ensuring that building projects contribute positively to society beyond their physical structures. It encompasses aspects such as community engagement, sustainability, job creation, and local economic growth. This interlinks with the bidding function and is a crucial part of the bid content within all sectors across the built environment.

How do you add value to your customers?

I add value by possessing extensive knowledge of the construction sector and 15 years' worth of connections that I have established. My sector knowledge is invaluable. I am always in touch with clients and candidates to identify movement and change within my sector and how other businesses are sculpting their work-winning function.
