About the role
As the Head of Engineering, you will oversee all technical aspects of our premier mixed-use development. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring proactive maintenance, compliance, and efficient operation of various systems and equipment. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with third-party supplier partners to proactively maintain technical MEP equipment, including conducting inspections, repairs, and general maintenance.
- Overseeing crucial elements such as lift maintenance, data services, speed gates, and building management systems (BMS).
- Leading the commissioning of M&E systems, warranty registration, and defect management during the onboarding phase.
- Ensuring compliance with ESG and air quality accreditations, as well as all statutory obligations.
- Developing and implementing strategic operational plans that leverage new technologies and industry best practices.
- Monitoring performance against budget, analysing the value delivered by contracted and project work invoices.
- Managing a high-performing team, including third-party engineers, and fostering their growth and development.
- Championing safety standards, risk management, and compliance, and maintaining accurate documentation.
To excel in this role, you'll likely have:
- Extensive experience in engineering and technical services management, ideally within a similar high-quality commercial office environment.
- Familiarity with onboarding properties through practical completion and a profound understanding of building maintenance.
- Expertise in health and safety regulations, with certifications such as IOSH, L8, and NEBOSH (preferred), showcasing your commitment to safety and compliance.
- Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office, Building Management Systems, and Customer Relationship Management systems.
- Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to engage effectively with customers and team members.
- Strong leadership capabilities, motivating your team to achieve excellence.
- A flexible approach to work within a dynamic and supportive environment.
