The largest single educator of girls in the UK, the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST), is seeking to recruit an Estates Manager.
 
The GDST is the UK's leading network of independent girls’ schools, with over 3,500 staff, and nearly 19,000 students between the ages of 3 and 18. ?As a charity that owns and runs a network of 23 schools and 2 academies in England and Wales, reinvesting in education. Founded in 1872, the GDST has a long history of pioneering innovation in the education of girls and is the UK’s largest educational charity. 

The Estates Team acts on behalf of the Trust to manage all property-related matters to ensure the Trust’s interests and its Estate are developed and maintained to agreed standards.  As part of our continued investment into providing the best possible estate provision to our schools, we are seeking to appoint an Estate Manager to strengthen the team.

Reporting to the Head of Estate Management, the Estate Manager will play a leading role in the provision of high-quality, customer-focused estate management provision across the GDST portfolio. Working across a designated portfolio of schools, the Estate Manager will act as the estate business partner and trusted advisor to each of the schools within their portfolio whilst leading on the planning and delivery of estate investment programmes including refurbishment, decarbonisation, long-term maintenance and compliance projects.

We are seeking an individual with significant experience of leading refurbishment and strategic maintenance programmes across a diverse multi-site estate portfolio.   You will have a highly customer-focused mindset, with high levels of enthusiasm and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience of working across a broad range of property types would be advantageous, as in this role you will get the chance to work across a diverse portfolio of buildings, from state-of-the-art new facilities to listed and historic buildings, supporting activities spanning student experience, teaching, sport, the arts, recreation and events.
