About Ben

Since joining MRG in 2008, I’ve been fortunate to enjoy a fulfilling career, personally advising and delivering recruitment campaigns for leadership roles with renowned organisations that make a significant societal impact.

While I continue to enjoy working directly on recruitment campaigns, as UK Managing Director at MRG, I’m proud to lead an exceptional team that embodies our values, fosters a truly collaborative culture, and is committed to excellence—consistently delivering outstanding results for our partners.

Outside of work, my three children, aged 3 to 13, keep me busy with activities such as coaching my son’s football team, annual family trips to new countries, kickboxing training with my children, and the ever-important roles of taxi driver and financier.

Q&A With Ben

What makes MRG 'Different by Design'?

I think it is a combination of factors, ranging from our exceptional team of people to a range of robust processes and an ethos of continuous improvement and innovation. Our team members are among the most experienced and passionate professionals in their respective fields. We've worked extensively to develop industry-leading processes, be that a weighted selection matrix to aid client shortlisting, a 40-point recruitment campaign action plan, or a dedicated recruitment campaign manager role. We've innovated the way that recruitment campaigns are marketed and showcased through the investment of an in-house design team and dedicated digital marketing strategies for each recruitment campaign.

How has your career at MRG progressed?

Whilst still very much enjoying direct involvement in the recruitment campaigns with our partners across a diverse range of sectors as much as I did when I joined as a Senior Consultant in 2008 (and continuing to learn with every campaign), I’m proud to have been a Director and member of the MRG Board since 2015 during which time we have seen fantastic advancement and diversification of the business. I thoroughly enjoy working with our talented Board and Management team on the development and execution of strategy, growth, and investment plans across the Group, whilst taking direct responsibility for the leadership and growth of the UK business as UK Managing Director in 2022.
