What do you do at MRG?
I am in a Business Director within the Real Estate team – originating and delivering search mandates across the entire sector.
What are you most proud about that you have achieved in your career to date?
An obvious one – turning cold clients into their go to person.
How did you get into recruitment, and why?
I started my career as a Chartered Surveyor which I enjoyed but after a few years, I wanted a change. I am fortunate I can use my knowledge and contacts of the industry I once worked in to add value to clients and have a ready made network.
What energises you about working in this sector?
The people. Educating clients throughout the recruitment process to improve their EVP, and educating candidates on their career moves.
What’s the biggest thing that’s changed in recruitment since you started?
Remote working!
What’s one thing that most people don’t know about you?
I purchased the rights to the card game ‘Whist’ and created an inclusive networking game called ‘Team Whist’. 100 people can play at one time in a room, and I have raised over £15,000 for the NSPCC with it.
What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?
Always feel lucky !
