We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical design specifically for industrial building projects. They will be responsible for leading the electrical design aspects of projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Electrical Design: Lead the electrical design process for industrial building projects, including power distribution systems, lighting, fire alarm systems, grounding, and lightning protection.
- Project Management: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to develop comprehensive design solutions that meet project requirements, budget, and schedule.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all electrical designs adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including NEC, NFPA, and local building codes.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges related to electrical design and propose mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand their needs, present design proposals, and address any technical queries or concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of electrical design documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical design for industrial buildings, and incorporate them into project designs as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Minimum [10] years of experience in electrical design for industrial building projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to mentor junior engineers and guide project teams.
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality, accurate design solutions.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
