We are in search of an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join our team, responsible for spearheading the development of a world-class Oceanic showcase for our visionary, PIF-backed client. The Project Manager will oversee all facets of the project, from initial planning and budgeting to construction and commissioning. This presents an exciting opportunity to play a central role in crafting an immersive and educational environment that highlights marine life and champions conservation efforts.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning: Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  2. Budget Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring that expenditures are within approved limits. Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage financial resources effectively.
  3. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies. Communicate project updates, milestones, and issues as needed.
  4. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, including architects, engineers, designers, and contractors. Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  5. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the project. Monitor project risks and implement corrective actions as needed.
  6. Quality Control: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations. Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to identify and address any issues.
  7. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and permits governing the development and operation of the oceanarium. Obtain necessary approvals and permits as required.
  8. Construction Oversight: Oversee all aspects of construction, including site preparation, building construction, and installation of exhibits and infrastructure. Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure that work is completed on time and within budget.
  9. Commissioning and Testing: Coordinate the commissioning and testing of oceanarium systems and exhibits. Ensure that all systems are operational and meet safety and performance standards.
  10. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including budgets, schedules, contracts, and reports. Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on project status, progress, and issues.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, business administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of 5 – 12 years in project management, with experience in large-scale entertainment or resort projects being highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects from conception to completion, preferably in large scale aquarium projects, aquatic research institutes or oceanariums.
  • Familiarity with Saudi Arabian regulatory processes and local construction practices is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional, multi-cultural teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, regulations, and standards related to attractions development, construction, and environmental sustainability.
  • Passion for marine conservation and education, with a commitment to creating meaningful and impactful visitor experiences.
