Our trusted client is dynamic and growing property developer based in the Klang Valley. Their projects are focused in residential high rise towers. 

Job Overview

The Development Project Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of development projects from start to handover. This position entails strategic planning, budgeting, and oversight of construction activities to ensure projects meet quality, timing, and budget specifications. The Project Manager will lead project teams, including the Assistant Project Managers be complete the project based on time, cost and quality.

  • Effective management of project planning, design, and execution phases.
  • Efficient coordination and oversight of consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Achievement of compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulatory approvals.
  • Optimization of project feasibility and profitability through strategic planning and analysis.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, budgeting, and execution of development projects to ensure alignment with company objectives and project specifications.
  • Lead the project team, including APMs, ensuring clear communication of project scope, timelines, and responsibilities.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings with all stakeholders to review project status and address any issues.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to ensure site work complies with Myra’s standards, procedures, and codes.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants during the design and planning stages to ensure project efficiency and innovation.
  • Liaise with government authorities and agencies to secure all necessary approvals for project commencement and completion.
  • Oversee feasibility studies, including project planning, tendering, contract administration, and construction methodology to ensure project viability and success.
  • Foster strong relationships with local authorities, government agencies, contractors, and consultants to facilitate project progression.
  • Promote a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and team collaboration within the project management team.

 

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Project Management.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the property development or construction industry.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire project teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the property development cycle, including feasibility studies, design, planning, and construction.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and liaison skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Previous experience in a Civil & Structural Engineering or Mechanical & Electrical Engineering role is highly desirable.
