The University of Salford is one of the fastest growing universities, with a community encompassing over 23,000 students, 2500 staff and 170,000 alumni who come to study, teach and research here from all around the world.

The university is about to commence an exciting new chapter to change the way Campus Services are delivered to its customers.  This brand-new position will provide project management of its ambitious programme of change and deliver key projects within the department.

The Campus Services function is a strategic and outward looking team overseeing the delivery of commercial services comprising: Catering and Hospitality, Conferences, Residential Services, Sports Centre, Car Parking and Nursery.

Over the next 2 years campus services will deliver:
 

  • A change in the way food and drink is provided on and off the campus to all customers.
  • The development of an ambitious sports and physical activity strategy.
  • Improvement in the operations of our residential services ensuring we manage the student experience.
  • Increase revenue with our growth plans within the conferencing team.

The Project Manager will proactively manage these key projects and support the development of business and improvement plans. 
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of shaping, planning and delivering strategies that enhance an organisation’s catering/commercial service provision.  You will be focused on delivering measurable impact through the delivery of projects and programmes, developed within a similar environment with Higher / Further Education / Catering / Commercial services. 

They will need to be proactive, enthusiastic, innovation and results-focused, with excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing abilities.  They will be able to demonstrate first class customer service, time management and organisational skills together with a high level of self-motivation and commitment.
