Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leading the Management team and completing the project within the budgeted schedule and cost.
- Managing technical and financial operations.
- Overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day management of the construction project; monitoring and coordinating work performed by architectural, engineering, and construction departments.
- Minimizing exposure to claims and taking necessary actions to avoid litigation and disputes.
- Leading the Project Management team in assessing variations and claims.
- Managing project risks and implementing a risk mitigation plan.
- Keeping the Client updated regarding Project Progress and other areas of concern.
- Establishing and maintaining project-specific procedures to manage the project.
- Preparing weekly, monthly progress and occasionally special reports.
- Providing a clear definition of the roles and responsibilities of PM staff.
- Attend coordination meetings, progress meetings as well as Executive meetings.
- Monitor performance and take necessary measures to ensure the successful completion of the project. Ensure achieving the Key Performance Indicators and Client contractual requirements.
- Advise the Client on any potential risks, claims, delays and cost overruns.
- Review weekly and monthly reports prepared by the Design/Supervision Consultant(s) and Contractor.
- Ensures compliance with relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within the business.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized University.
- Must have a minimum of 20 years of experience including 8 years in the UAE and Abu Dhabi in a similar position including high-value and complex projects with expert knowledge leading and delivering multi-billion projects within the project management industry.
- Exceptional Leadership Skills, possessing a collaborative management style, and ability to work in a multi-discipline team format.
- Ability to think ahead, identify new opportunities and create new and innovative approaches to work-related issues.
- Strong Management and communication skills.
