With this focus, the University of Leeds is now seeking to recruit a highly motivated, pro-active Head of Community Safety & Campus Security. The postholder will support the Deputy Director of Campus Services and Engagement and lead the University’s drive to improve its community safety and campus security performance in promoting and delivering a consistently excellent customer experience for our university community. They will collaborate with stakeholders across the University to review safety and security related protocols and engage with their vibrant, diverse student and staff community.
Recognising our people are our strongest asset, they will lead and inspire the service by embedding an inclusive customer-centric culture within the Security Services and Facilities Support team – promoting the provision of a consistently excellent customer experience. They will be the technical expert for all matters relating to security at the University including the provision of security and safety guidance for all who study, work, or visit the University.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of shaping, planning and delivering strategies that enhance an organisation's security strategy with significant experience in a Head of Security role within a large campus-based organisation. You will have experience of managing security services and teams, developing beyond core security management to encompass customer services and pastoral care.
