Job Overview: As the Assistant Design Director for Retail Shopping Malls, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the aesthetic and functional aspects of our retail developments. Working closely with the Design Director and cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for bringing creative visions to life, ensuring each project reflects the highest standards of design excellence, innovation, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualization and Design Development:
- Collaborate with the Design Director to develop and refine the overall design vision for retail shopping malls.
- Generate creative design concepts, considering functionality, sustainability, and market trends.
- Create compelling design presentations that effectively communicate ideas to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Project Management:
- Lead the design process from conception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Work closely with project teams, architects, and external consultants to coordinate design efforts.
- Conduct site visits and assess design implementation during construction phases.
- Team Collaboration:
- Foster a collaborative and innovative design culture within the team.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior design staff, fostering their professional growth.
- Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including development, leasing, and marketing, to achieve cohesive project outcomes.
- Research and Innovation:
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative design solutions for retail environments.
- Integrate sustainable and environmentally conscious design principles into projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience in retail design, with a portfolio showcasing successful projects.
- Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, both verbal and visual.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
