I work in the MRG People Asia team as a ‘Senior Practice Manager, International’ covering their technical positions in the Middle East.
What are you most proud about that you have achieved in your career to date?
I like to celebrate all my achievements, even the small ones. Without any experience, I strived and excelled in my past role serving the construction field. Later I took on a challenge serving the RPO account and again I excelled in my role. My achievements were evidenced with monthly top performer awards, the most recent one was in April 2022. I’m committed to providing the best service in every assignment given.
How did you get into recruitment, and why?
I attended superlative training when I was a Sourcing Specialist at Randstad. Since then, I knew I could excel in recruitment. I always find it exciting to explore new challenges.
What energises you about working in this sector?
My main motivation is my family. I keep moving forward and overcoming any challenges coming my way; I put my heart into every single thing I do.
What’s the biggest thing that’s changed in recruitment since you started?
Systems, tools, and processes. Technologies have evolved and these have had an effect on the recruiting function, such as transparency in delivery.
What do you think the biggest misconception people have about you is?
Some people underestimate my endurance and determination.
What’s one thing that most people don’t know about you?
I love the thriller genre.
What’s the best advice anyone has every given you?
“Never beg for a seat when you can build your own table”.
What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?
I’m not sure about three words, but I have three statements:
- I’m all about energy.
- ‘Driven to succeed and no excuses’ is my mantra.
- Very enthusiastic and helpful.
