What do you do at MRG?
I am the Marketing Manager. My role is to drive the strategic messaging for the acquisition and retention of candidates and clients.
What are you most proud about that you have achieved in your career to date?
I am most proud of the range of different countries I have carried out marketing in; including Saudi Arabia, Russia, India and Nigeria.
How did you get into Marketing, and why?
My first job after university was as an assistant at a publishing house. I thought I wanted to be an Editor, which looking back was too stuffy for me. After working with the Sales, Marketing and PR teams those areas caught my interest much more. They allowed me to still be creative, but in a fast-paced and people-facing environment.
What energises you about working in this sector?
I love communicating with people and being creative.
What’s the biggest thing that’s changed in Marketing since you started?
When I started in Marketing there was a heavy reliance on the traditional methods such as print, outdoor, mail etc and I even carried out a few fax campaigns! The move towards digital and social marketing has been rapid and exciting to be a part of.
What’s one thing that most people don’t know about you?
I used to want to be an archaeologist.
What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?
Remember to breathe.
What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?
Organised. Considerate. Creative.
And finally, who would play you in the movie about your life?
