What do you do at MRG?
I am the in-house graphic designer, taking care of everything visual from the logo to LinkedIn posts to proposals and candidate recruitment packs.
What are you most proud about that you have achieved in your career to date?
I recently completed my master’s in graphic design, in line with my masters I was able to exhibit my work in a gallery in London which was very exciting. Other than that, creating a brand for a co-living property development in Dublin.
How did you get into Design, and why?
I have a background in PR, so have always been passionate about branding and whilst working in PR and as a content creator I realised I want to leave the strategy side of things behind me to focus on creating visually.
What energises you about working in this sector?
I am a very visual person, and love creating so design is something I never get tired of.
What’s the biggest thing that’s changed in Design since you started?
Design is constantly evolving so there’s always new trends and innovation that is happening, would it be new design tools such as figma or evolvements in type design. I love keeping up with what is happening in the design world through reading magazines and online blogs.
What’s one thing that most people don’t know about you?
I can ride a unicycle.
What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?
Excuse the language of the following…. “If you’re standing with one leg in the future, and one in the past, you’re peeing on today”
What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?
Creative, fashionable, witty
And finally, who would play you in the movie about your life?
My two all-time favourite films are Death Becomes Her and the Devil wears Prada. Based on that and because she has been nominated for 21! Oscars – it has to be: Meryl Streep.
