The Management Recruitment Group has been mandated to source a talented and experienced Retail Design Manager, coming from the client side, for an extraordinary development along the Red Sea. The role is integral to the project.
The successful candidate will present an impressive portfolio, demonstrating designing Shopping Malls, Food & Beverage and parking garages.
Playing a crucial role in overseeing the conceptualization, development, and execution of all design aspects within our retail spaces. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our stores embody our brand identity, enhance the customer journey, and drive business success. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing design projects in the retail sector and a passion for creating innovative and visually stunning environments.
Responsibilities:
Design Leadership:
Provide visionary leadership to the design team, ensuring a cohesive and compelling design language across all retail spaces.
Foster a creative and collaborative work environment that encourages innovative thinking and continuous improvement.
Project Management:
Lead the end-to-end design process, from concept development to project completion, ensuring that all design deliverables are on time and within budget.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Operations, and Construction, to align design strategies with business objectives.
Brand Integration:
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company’s brand identity and ensure that all retail spaces align with and enhance the brand image.
Overseeing the creation of brand guidelines for retail design and ensuring consistent implementation across various locations.
Trend Analysis:
Stay abreast of industry trends, consumer preferences, and design innovations to inform and inspire the development of retail spaces.
Integrate relevant trends into the design strategy to keep our retail environments fresh and appealing.
Team Development:
Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing design team.
Providing guidance and constructive feedback to foster individual growth and team success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience of 5 – 10 years in retail design management, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
- In-depth knowledge of retail industry trends, spatial design, and customer experience.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting and timeline management.
- Incumbents should have a broad general technical, project management, and business background.
- Professional registration preferred (AIA, RIBA, CEng, PE, LEED or similar).
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards.
