Role Overview – Based in Kuwait City
We are in search of a talented and experienced Lead Interior Designer with a strong background in hospitality design. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with major brands, from concept through to delivery. You will be a creative design and thought leader, adept at running a studio, presenting to clients and internal teams, and motivating and developing your team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Hospitality studio, ensuring creative and innovative design solutions.
- Collaborate with major hospitality brands, guiding projects from initial ideas to final delivery.
- Present design concepts and progress updates to clients and internal teams.
- Mentor and develop a diverse team of designers.
Essential Qualifications
- Experience: Over 15 years of experience in commercial interiors, corporate workplace, or hospitality projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or equivalent from an accredited institution,
- Project Experience: Hands-on experience from inception to completion in corporate workplace, hospitality, or retail projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit and other 3D BIM design programs.
- Sustainability: Exposure to LEED and WELL sustainable projects.
- Materials Knowledge: Expertise in materials, fabrics, furnishings, furniture, lighting, and fittings.
- Communication: Fluency in written and spoken English with excellent graphic and communication skills.
- Portfolio: A creative work portfolio that showcases storytelling through designs and a moving experience of spaces.
- Impact: Designs that enhance quality of life and user experience, focusing on functionality, efficiency, and dynamism.
Qualifications
- Certifications: LEED AP Accreditation, WELL Certification.
- Professional Memberships: IIDA, RIBA, AIA, or equivalent.
- Software Skills: Knowledge of Lumion, Vray, Grasshopper, SketchUp, InDesign.
- Market Knowledge: FF&E pricing in the local market.
- Regional Experience: Previous work experience in the Middle East.
