Executive Director Financial Planning & Analysis – Development Company (PIF) Saudi Arabia  

On behalf of our client; a pioneering entertainment developer, wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, The Management Recruitment Group, a world-renowned Real Estate Executive Search Firm, have been retained exclusively to appoint to the post of the Executive Director Financial Planning & Analysis.  

Job Purpose 

The Executive Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the achievement of operational and strategic financial targets for our Client project in Riyadh. This position requires a seasoned professional capable of advising and guiding senior business leadership on business development and performance through comprehensive budget planning, accurate forecasting, effective control, and insightful management reporting across the company’s diverse subsidiaries and projects. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Executive Director will lead a team responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making and foster business growth. 

Individual Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for our Client Group and its subsidiaries. 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans aligned with our Client’s objectives and long-term vision. 

  • Ensure high-quality reporting from board-level to operational level, including continuous digitization efforts. 

  • Conduct detailed periodic financial analysis to evaluate business performance and provide actionable insights. 

  • Challenge senior business leadership on operational and strategic execution and financial targets. 

  • Serve as the primary FP&A counterpart, ensuring excellence in financial support across diverse business areas. 

  • Quickly adapt to the FP&A stakeholder landscape and proactively steer financial performance. 

  • Leverage expertise in FP&A software solutions to drive state-of-the-art execution and software landscape development. 

  • Develop the FP&A annual budget, train and grow the existing team, and ensure key performance parameters are met. 

Shared Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with business functions and FP&A leaders to steer reporting, budgets, and forecasts. 

  • Work with Financial Control and other departments to provide accurate and timely reporting and results. 

  • Engage with Finance data & transformation, IT, and Data Office on FP&A software solutions and digital initiatives. 

Decision Rights: 

  • Ownership of budgeting and forecasting processes and results. 

  • Corporate budget strategy and execution. 

  • Setting performance meetings and agenda. 

  • Influence on business development strategies, corporate KPIs, and digitalization initiatives. 

  • Approval of financial plans, budgets, forecasts, and strategic FP&A objectives.

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. 

Qualification and Experience: 

Qualification: 

  • Master’s degree in finance Professional Certifications: 

  • Professional finance qualification (e.g., CFA, FCA, FCCA) 

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 20 years of finance experience, including 8-10 years in finance leadership roles. 

  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, project finance, financial modeling, and performance indicators. 

  • Ability to translate technical and commercial issues into financial impacts. 

  • Strong analytical, reasoning, and numeric skills. 

  • Proven leadership skills with experience in team building and coordination.
