What is your role at MRG?
I am a Delivery Consultant based in the Cape Town office.
What are you most proud of that you have achieved in your career to date?
In 2022, I had the privilege of attending the BPESA event as a Talent Acquisition Partner, where professionals from across South Africa gathered to celebrate excellence in the GBS sector. I was honoured to be selected as a finalist in my field.
How did you get into recruitment, and why?
At the start of my career, I was inspired by how recruiters could positively impact lives by offering people new opportunities — I still remember the joy I felt when I received my first job offer. Motivated by that experience, I applied to work at a recruitment agency and was thrilled to be successful. From that moment on, I was committed to helping others feel the same excitement and hope. Since then, I’ve never looked back and have continued to grow within the talent acquisition field.
What energises you about working in this sector?
Connecting exceptional candidates with meaningful opportunities — creating value for both individuals and clients through a satisfying and impactful recruitment experience.
What’s the biggest thing that’s changed in recruitment since you started?
The biggest change for me within recruitment has been transitioning across multiple industries — from medical recruitment to BPO, and now into real estate. Each shift has challenged me to adapt, grow, and deepen my understanding of diverse talent landscapes.
What’s one thing that most people don’t know about you?
Most people don’t know that I enjoy fishing — it’s a passion of mine that brings peace, focus, and a sense of adventure outside of work.
What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?
Celebrate the success of others, stay focused, and work hard to achieve your own goals — success is not a competition, it’s a journey.
What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?
I’m known for being friendly, loyal, and reliable — qualities I bring into both my personal and professional relationships.
