What do you do at MRG?
I do the weekly payroll, sales ledger and credit control.
What are you most proud about that you have achieved in your career to date?
Getting out of my comfort zone when working in payroll.
How did you get into finance, and why?
I got into finance by accident, but I’ve always enjoyed working with spreadsheets, so I have been doing it for the last 10 years.
What energises you about working in this sector?
The fact that is a pivotal area in the organisation’s operation, the attention to detail and accuracy in it.
What’s the biggest thing that’s changed in finance since you started?
Bookkeeping/Accounting Software.
What’s one thing that most people don’t know about you?
I once ran a half marathon.
What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?
The collective is made of individuals. Be yourself.
What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?
Organised, relentless and motivated.
