What do you do at MRG?
I’m a Recruitment Consultant within the Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Hospitality sectors. My focus is on leadership and niche hiring, connecting the right talent with the right opportunities, while also driving business development and strong client partnerships.
What are you most proud of that you have achieved in your career to date?
I’m proud of building strong client relationships and being trusted to handle both recruitment and business development early in my career. For me, every closure is more than just filling a role; it’s about building trust and credibility.
How did you get into recruitment, and why?
I was referred to recruitment by a friend who thought I’d be a natural fit. I enjoy interacting with people, I’m good at sales, and I like problem-solving, so it clicked. Honestly, I think my friend just wanted the referral bonus too, but I guess it worked out well for both of us.
What energises you about working in this sector?
The variety. Every day brings different conversations, from design heads to project managers, and each one teaches me something new. There’s never a boring day in recruitment, and that constant learning is what keeps me motivated.
What’s the biggest thing that’s changed in recruitment since you started?
Recruitment has become faster and more digital. With AI tools, LinkedIn, and global connectivity, what once took weeks now happens in days. Clients expect speed, and I enjoy the adrenaline that comes with that chase.
What’s one thing that most people don’t know about you?
Most people don’t know that I used to weigh 120 kgs. Over the past 4 years, I’ve lost 40 kgs through consistency and discipline, and it has completely changed my perspective on resilience. I’m also a national-level handball player, which taught me teamwork and strategy long before recruitment did.
What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?
“Consistency beats intensity.” It’s shaped how I approach both personal goals and my work in recruitment.
What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?
Approachable, Driven, and Witty.
And finally, who would play you in the movie about your life?
Gal Gadot. If anyone can make weight loss, handball, and recruitment look like an action-packed movie, it’s her.
