About Stephanie
My focus is on leading executive search appointments across the public and third sector - partnering with local authorities, central government, charities and blue light services to manage property and estate leadership appointments.
I’m proud of the long-term partnership approach that we develop with clients – I find working with a client time and time again incredibly rewarding.
Outside of work my two small children keep me very busy, usually running around outdoors. You can also find me on a netball court!

Q&A With Stephanie
How has your career at MRG progressed?
I joined MRG in 2015 from the property industry. I initially joined the private sector real estate team as a researcher and quickly moved into leading recruitment campaigns for key clients.
I joined MRG’s leadership team in 2019 and later established our public and third sector team, working with a range charity, blue light and local and central government clients.
There’s been lots of opportunity to progress during my time at MRG!
What's the emerging trend in your sector specialism and how are you responding to this?
Across the public sector, organisations are being asked to deliver more for less.
We’re seeing a growing demand for leaders who can identify opportunities for improvement, whether that’s modernising services, reviewing operating models, or finding smarter ways to generate income and reduce cost. These leaders also need the ability to bring teams with them, build confidence and deliver change in environments that are already under strain.
We’re ensuring, that through rigorous recruitment processes, we can demonstrate that an individual has the experience and ability to drive change through teams.
Is there a particular project that you have been involved in that you're proud of?
I’m particularly proud of the long term, trusted partnerships that I’ve developed at MRG. To be trusted to build out teams following the initial leadership appointment is incredibly rewarding. A couple of notable examples include:
Diocese of London:
Having appointed the Director of Housing and Investment Property in 2020, we’ve continued to manage support throughout the housing and investment teams.
Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire and Isle of Wight:
In 2021 we were appointed by the Police and Crime Commissioner to lead recruitment to the Head of Estates and Facilities Management. A insource of the estates function followed with MRG mandated to lead on management appointments to the team.
