Why Now Was the Right Time for Change at MRG

After almost 20 years in business, we’ve taken a bold step forward and we’ve reinvented our brand at MRG. This wasn’t a decision made lightly by our owner Simon Cheshire. A brand reinvention of this scale touches every part of a business, from identity and messaging to the internal culture and the customer experience. But after almost two decades of evolution and building lasting relationships we knew the time had come to realign our outward image with who we are today and where we are going.

As MRG’s Director of Operations and Marketing, I’ve had the privilege of leading this transformation alongside a brilliant team. From our very first brainstorm, we set out not to just refresh our look, but to clarify our purpose, sharpen our positioning, and reflect the forward-thinking business we’ve become.

Our previous branding had served us well, but over time, it no longer captured our personality, energy, or the level of strategic thinking we bring to our work. We help our clients articulate their “why” through strong branding and positioning services, yet we hadn’t recently asked the same tough questions of ourselves.

We revisited our values to ensure they were still right for the business. We clarified our tone of voice. We refined our visuals (this was the most drastic change). Every element of this brand reinvention, from the logo and colour palette to the tone of our messaging, was intentionally designed to represent the people and process part of our business.

As marketers, we know that a brand reinvention isn’t just how it looks, it’s how it makes people feel. We wanted this reinvention to reaffirm what our clients already know: that we understand how to navigate change, unlock potential, and lead with purpose.

We’re excited to share this new chapter with you, not just as a milestone in our own story, but as proof of what thoughtful, strategic branding can do.

If your brand is ready to evolve, reposition, or reconnect with your audience, we’d love to help you make that leap.
