About Lieneke
I’m a Resourcing Consultant at MRG and have been part of the team since 2022. I focus on finding top talent for roles within the construction and real estate industries across the Middle East.
I work closely with candidates throughout the recruitment process, from initial searches and shortlisting to interview preparation, offer management, and onboarding support. I take the time to understand each candidate’s background, experience, and career goals to ensure the opportunities we present are the right fit.
My role plays a key part in helping our team deliver successful outcomes by ensuring only the most suitable candidates are put forward for each role.
“If it was easy, everyone would have done it.

Q&A With Lieneke
What makes MRG 'Different by Design'?
For me, what makes MRG different by design is the way we genuinely value people — both candidates and clients. It’s not just about filling a role; it’s about making sure it’s the right fit for the individual and the company.
We take the time to understand someone’s background, skills, and what they’re really looking for, and we try to match that with opportunities that suit them beyond just what’s on paper.
We work with a wide range of clients — big and small — all over the world. And no matter who we’re speaking with, everyone is treated as an individual.
At the end of the day, we’re designed to help people grow — whether that’s a candidate finding their next step, or a company building a stronger team.
What's the emerging trend in your sector specialism and how are you responding to this?
One of the biggest emerging trends I’m seeing in the Construction and Real Estate sector within the Middle East is the massive recruitment drive taking place. There’s a huge demand for top talent from all over the world to support the GIGA projects. Clients are looking for people who understand the region, who are a good cultural fit, and who can really contribute to the long-term vision.
My part in this is making sure we find those suitable candidates. I take the time to understand exactly what the client needs, then go out and find candidates with the right experience, mindset, and expectations, especially when it comes to relocating and adjusting to a new environment. It’s not just about filling roles, it’s about finding the right match on both sides.
Is there a particular project that you have been involved in that you're proud of?
One project I really enjoyed being part of was a “Roadshow” we organised for one of our clients. The client travelled to a specific country to carry out a major recruitment drive for one of the giga projects in the Middle East that we were supporting. My focus was on sourcing Design candidates with very specific backgrounds and experience that matched the client’s criteria exactly.
Out of the five candidates who went for interviews, three received offers, with two additional candidates who also got offered different roles. Not only was it an exciting role to work, but also a fantastic project to be involved in.
