The University of Sussex is a leading higher education and research institution. This is an exciting opportunity to shape all aspects of sustainability policy to achieve our vision of being one of the most sustainable universities in the world. Working directly to the Head of Sustainability you will develop policy and provide advice and guidance, as the lead subject matter expert on a broad range of sustainability policy areas including: sustainable business travel; active and sustainable commuting; waste reduction reuse and recycling; sustainable food and agriculture; biodiversity net gain; student experience and education; research practices; and sustainable supply chain and investments.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of developing strategies, polices and plans relating to sustainability across a diverse spectrum of areas. We are seeking an individual with good analytical skills and the ability to manage and report on data relating to sustainability performance.
