Senior Project Manager – Commercial office fit-outs

Role Purpose
Reporting to the Project Director/Country Lead, this role involves overall accountability of the management and delivery of commercial office fit-out projects, during its life cycle from inception to completion, whilst engaging with all relevant stakeholders during the course of the project.
Managing and ownership of the project budget and programme together with interfacing with senior members of the client’s team as well as departments involved in the project process (to include Delivery, Client Services, Business Development, Legal and Accounts. The role also involves the management, development, and mentoring of individual members within the Operations team as applicable to the growth of the business.
Key responsibilities
- Must be able to deliver fast-track commercial projects within the programme and financial constraints based on each project.
- All projects are bespoke, which require a tailored approach to suit each client’s requirement. Regular interface with the client, professional team, and internal stakeholders is essential to the role, as well as managing all the various parties involved in the project process, which you will be overseeing.
- Must be able to work well within the dynamic of a team in a rapidly changing environment
- Delivery of clear and auditable project processes that satisfy all project governance requirements
- People development through defined, agreed and achievable plans.
- Adoption and implementation of the Instant BPM across the board.
- Monthly performance report (dashboard) of all activity
- Identify and actively pursue an Award-winning project.
Background and experience
- 12 + years relevant experience in leading projects, commercial fit-out projects
- A Project management-based background within the commercial property sector (consultant, contractor or client side preferred) is key to the undertaking of this role.
- Good knowledge of industry standards, Facility Management, Health & Safety legislation and current statutory requirements is also key to this
- ??Must have a proven track record in relation to delivering excellent customer service within the property sector at all levels as well as exceptional client facing skills. ideally 1,000,000 sqft +
- A proven network of contacts would also be considered an advantage to this position
- Superior client (and senior stakeholder) relationship management skills
- Highly commercial – CapEx & OpEx and P&L literate
- Experience of writing and monitoring contracts
- Excellent and effective English communication skills, both verbal and written (including excellent presentation skills)
