Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager (C&S) will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of factory construction projects, ensuring that all civil and structural aspects are completed on time, within scope, and budget. This role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of factory construction projects, focusing on civil and structural (C&S) components. This includes initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects.
  • Team Management: Supervise and guide a team of engineers, contractors, and subcontractors. Ensure that all project team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that all C&S activities are completed within financial constraints. Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures as needed.
  • Scheduling: Create and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring that all milestones are met. Coordinate with other disciplines such as M&E to avoid clashes and ensure smooth project progress.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping them informed of project progress, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control processes for all civil and structural works, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to C&S works and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor risk throughout the project lifecycle and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Compliance: Ensure all C&S construction activities adhere to local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular project status reports for senior management and clients. Provide insights on project performance, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with architects, consultants, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of C&S works with overall project goals.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, with at least 5 years in a project management role for industrial or factory construction projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles, construction methods, and materials, especially as they pertain to industrial buildings.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects, with a focus on budget management, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD Pro).
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
