Job Summary:
The Safety Supervisor will oversee all aspects of health and safety on factory construction sites, ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. The role involves proactive risk management, training, and enforcement of safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:

Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Enforce compliance with company safety policies and procedures on-site.
- Regularly review and update site-specific safety plans.

Site Inspections and Audits:
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
- Lead safety audits, including documentation and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Report unsafe practices, conditions, and near-misses to management.

Risk Assessment and Management:
- Conduct risk assessments for all construction activities, identifying potential hazards and implementing control measures.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Monitor high-risk activities and ensure appropriate safety measures are in place.

Training and Education:
- Conduct safety orientations for new employees and subcontractors.
- Provide ongoing safety training and toolbox talks to site personnel.
- Educate employees on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.

Incident Investigation:
- Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents and recommend preventive measures.

Safety Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and audits.
- Prepare and submit safety reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.
- Track and analyze safety performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Coordination with Stakeholders:
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to integrate safety practices into project planning and execution.
- Liaise with external safety consultants, inspectors, and regulatory agencies.

Emergency Preparedness:
- Ensure that all emergency exits, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment are properly maintained and accessible.
- Coordinate regular emergency drills and evaluate their effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction safety, with a focus on factory or industrial projects.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, local safety laws, and industry best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to different construction sites.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
- Physical ability to perform inspections in various construction environments, including climbing ladders, walking on uneven surfaces, and working at heights.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily on-site at factory construction locations.
- Exposure to construction-related hazards, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Regular interaction with construction teams, subcontractors, and project management staff.
