Job Description:

As the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager with Project Management experience, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all personnel involved in our construction projects. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs that comply with relevant regulations and industry standards. Additionally, you will oversee project management aspects related to HSE, ensuring that safety considerations are integrated into project planning, execution, and completion.

Key Responsibilities:

HSE Program Development and Implementation:

  • Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines tailored to the specific requirements of building construction projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess compliance with HSE standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on HSE matters, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.

 

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay abreast of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies as necessary and manage permitting processes for construction activities.

Safety Training and Education:

  • Coordinate and deliver HSE training programs for employees, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
  • Incident Management and Investigation:
  • Lead incident investigations to determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, and corrective actions taken.

Project Management Integration:

  • Collaborate with project managers to integrate HSE considerations into project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure that HSE objectives are met within established timelines and budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in HSE management within the construction industry, with a focus on industrial building projects.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
