Position: Project Engineer (Civil & Structural)

Job Summary:
The Project Engineer (Civil & Structural) will be responsible for overseeing and managing the civil and structural aspects of factory construction projects. This role involves planning, designing, coordinating, and supervising construction activities to ensure the successful completion of projects within the specified timeline, budget, and quality standards. The Project Engineer will work closely with architects, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality factory facilities that meet the company’s operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Design:
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, and stakeholders to develop and review design plans, specifications, and technical drawings for civil and structural works.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and risk analyses to ensure project viability.
- Prepare detailed project schedules and resource plans, coordinating with other engineering disciplines.

Construction Supervision:
- Oversee and monitor the execution of civil and structural works, ensuring compliance with design specifications, codes, and standards.
- Manage on-site construction activities, including earthworks, foundation, structural framing, and building envelope construction.
- Ensure that contractors adhere to project plans, timelines, and quality standards.

Coordination & Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the project management team, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Facilitate regular site meetings to discuss project progress, address issues, and coordinate activities among stakeholders.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team to resolve design or construction challenges.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure all civil and structural works meet the required standards and specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction work, materials, and equipment to maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, building codes, and environmental guidelines.

Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of construction activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and inspection logs.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and cost estimates.
- Ensure that all project documentation is organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible for review.

Cost Management:
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring that civil and structural works are completed within the allocated budget.
- Identify and report any potential cost overruns or savings opportunities, proposing solutions to optimize project costs.
- Review and approve contractor invoices and payment claims related to civil and structural works.

Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues that arise during the construction process, escalating to the Project Manager when necessary.
- Make informed decisions based on technical expertise and project requirements to ensure project success.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in civil and structural engineering, with a focus on factory or industrial construction projects.
- Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD, Revit) and project management tools.
- Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles, building codes, and construction practices.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to construction projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
