They are expanding their team in Malaysia to support a high-profile data centre development in Johor.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient MEP Project Manager to oversee the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of a large-scale data centre project in Johor. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in managing MEP systems within mission-critical or high-tech environments. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful design coordination, installation, and commissioning of all MEP systems, delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all MEP-related activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of MEP systems.
- Review and approve MEP designs, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
- Monitor installation works to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
- Identify and mitigate MEP-related risks and issues proactively.
- Ensure integration of MEP systems with architectural and structural elements.
- Provide regular updates and technical reports to project stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in MEP project management within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in delivering data centres or other mission-critical infrastructure is highly desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, and BMS systems.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with MEP software and project management tools (e.g., AutoCAD MEP, Revit, Navisworks, MS Project)
