The University of Leeds is seeking to appoint to the role of Mechanical Services Design Engineer within the University’s Engineering Team.
The University of Leeds has committed to reach Net Zero Carbon by 2030. This will involve significant capital expenditure in the coming years to deliver targeted building refurbishment, deployment of low/zero carbon technologies and the electrification of heat across the estate.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Mechanical Services Design Engineer to join our team to be integral in delivering our Net Zero commitment.
In the role, you will be involved in the innovative design and management of a range of low/zero carbon initiatives for mechanical building services projects. You will have a record of delivering technical projects from scheme inception to completion on site, including project management and contract administration of engineering works.
You will be responsible for all the Mechanical Building Services elements of new building projects, refurbishment works and maintenance replacements from inception to completion, whilst acting as the specialist expert providing high quality technical design, professional advice, and project management.
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant qualification in a Building Services/Mechanical subject and have membership of, or working towards a recognised professional body, with a strong knowledge and understanding of low and zero carbon technologies.
