Executive Director – Procurement

The Executive Director of Procurement will lead and transform the procurement function to deliver significant value through strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, risk mitigation, and cost optimization. He/She will be responsible for overseeing the full procurement lifecycle, implementing best-in-class procurement practices, and aligning procurement strategy with business objectives across the organization.
- Develop and execute the enterprise-wide procurement strategy aligned with organizational goals and growth objectives.
- Lead procurement operations, sourcing, contract management, supplier management, and category management.
- Drive cost savings and efficiency improvements through strategic sourcing initiatives and process optimization.
- Implement and oversee procurement systems, tools, and analytics to increase visibility and performance tracking.
- Build and manage a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Establish strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure procurement delivers value.
- Lead negotiations with major suppliers and manage strategic partnerships to ensure quality, innovation, and service levels.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies across procurement activities.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, Operations, and other departments to align procurement goals with broader business strategies.
- Lead initiatives around supplier diversity, ESG/sustainability, and risk management as part of responsible procurement practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- 20+ years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven success in leading program-level procurement organizations, with deep expertise in strategic sourcing and vendor management.
- Strong leadership skills.
