Construction Manager – MEP

Job Title: MEP Construction Manager (Data Centre Construction)
Position Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated MEP Construction Manager with a strong background in Electrical, Mechanical, and Fire Services to oversee and coordinate all aspects of MEP construction activities for our projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex construction projects, ensuring that all MEP systems are designed, installed, and maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
    • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of MEP construction projects.
    • Develop detailed project schedules and manage timelines to ensure project milestones are met.
    • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to integrate MEP systems seamlessly with overall project design and construction.
  • Design and Technical Oversight:
    • Review and approve MEP design drawings and specifications.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to the project team.
  • Construction Supervision:
    • Monitor the installation of MEP systems to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve any issues promptly.
    • Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and performance standards.
  • Budget and Cost Control:
    • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
    • Monitor expenditures and implement cost-control measures to prevent budget overruns.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Promote and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
    • Ensure all MEP installations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Communication and Reporting:
    • Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Facilitate effective communication between all project participants, including clients, contractors, and team members.
    • Address any client concerns or issues related to MEP systems promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in MEP construction management, with a focus on Electrical, Mechanical, and Fire Services.
    • Proven experience in managing large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
    • Excellent project management skills, with proficiency in scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in project management software and tools.
