An exciting opportunity has come up to join a national law firm as a bid manager. This role reports in to and works closely with the Head of Bids and can be based in either Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester or Sheffield on a hybrid basis. The salary is £55,000 – £65,000 depending on experience.
This role would suit a bid professional who is confident managing the entire bid process, as well as creating new content. My client is looking for candidates with 5+ years experience who come from a professional services or legal background.
Duties and responsibilities
- Collaborate with business development teams to secure new business opportunities
- Assemble and manage a bid team of SMEs & stakeholders to prepare and submit a winning bid whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process, including identification and qualification of opportunities
- Develop and write persuasive and tailored proposals that address client needs and highlight the firm’s strengths
- Develop proposal templates to enable BD & fee earners to self-serve
- Work with the Head of Bids & Proposals to develop and implement bid strategies that align with the firm’s business goals
- Coordinate with business development teams, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and insights for bids and proposals
- Ensure all bids and proposals are compliant with client requirements and internal standards through execution of bid procedures, governance and process, including bid feedback and lessons learnt
- Ensure content is captured and stored for future use
- Identify content gaps and actively work to overcome
- Create frequently used content, boilerplates and company wide content and make available for others to use across different channels
- Conduct post-bid reviews and debriefs to identify areas for improvement and share best practices across the team
