We are working with a leading provider of landscaping and groundworks services, known for delivering high-quality projects across various sectors. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bid Manager to join their team.
They are looking for a highly motivated Bid Manager to lead and manage the bid process. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation, submission, and management of bids from start to finish. You will work closely with various departments, including estimating, project management, and design teams, to develop compelling and competitive proposals that align with business objectives.
About the role
As the Bid Manager, you will be responsible for working with tenders, reports and liaising with multiple stakeholders as well as managing a team of Bid Writers.
- Manage the end-to-end bid process, including the development of bid strategies, content creation, and submission.
- Act as a senior point of contact for numerous stakeholders.
- Manage a small team of bid writers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information, develop pricing strategies, and ensure all bid requirements are met.
- Lead and coordinate bid meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Review and analyse tender documents, identifying key requirements and risks.
- Develop and maintain a library of high-quality bid content and case studies.
- Ensure all bids are compliant, professionally presented, and submitted on time.
- Monitor and report on bid progress, outcomes, and feedback for continuous improvement.
About you
You will have at least 3+years’ experience as a Bid Manager with proven experience in bid management, preferably within the landscaping, groundworks, or construction industry. Skilled in strategy, organisation, and communication, you thrive in fast-paced environments, managing multiple bids while maintaining high quality. Your leadership is collaborative, guiding a small team to deliver winning proposals. Proactive and detail-oriented, you excel at identifying risks, improving processes, and ensuring alignment across stakeholders. You’re passionate about driving success and contributing to the organisation’s growth through exceptional bid management.
